Crowd Network celebrates most successful year to date

Press Release · Manchester, UK · via Crowd Network ·

Crowd Network (Crowd), one of Europe’s fastest growing independent podcast networks, is celebrating its most successful year to date.

With the continued expansion of Crowd Branded and partnerships secured through its Crowd Sports arm, Crowd has grown revenues by over 80% for the fourth successive year.

It comes in a year where the business has worked with notable household names, including BrewDog, Greenpeace, Red Bull, and Sage, facilitating content creation strategies to creatively promote the brands.

2024 also saw Crowd grow its 360 promotional approach when working with brands, going beyond audio to develop a holistic content offer. Examples include its video-first podcast for Chelsea FC Women’s We Are Chelsea. Launched in March, the podcast received over a million views across Chelsea’s digital channels, a landmark moment for Crowd’s work in women’s sports.

Over the last twelve months, the business also launched the YouTube channels for two of its most successful podcasts to date, FC Bullard and For the Love of Rugby. It has also continued to build the platform for recently retired rugby star Joe Marler. His Things People Do podcast reached new heights in 2024, with audience figures doubling and Marler hosting nine live shows over the year.

This wraparound content approach achieved multiple award nominations and wins in 2024. Its Oceans: Life Under Water podcast with Greenpeace won bronze in the Climate category at the 2024 British Podcast Awards, with For The Love of Rugby and FC Bullard are nominated for Best Rugby Podcast and Best Football Podcast at the 2025 Sports Podcast Awards.

Crowd also hosted a number of successful live shows this year, including the Watts Occurring show at Salford’s Lowry Theatre in November and FC Bullard for a Christmas-themed event at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre. The business has more live shows planned for 2025, with For The Love of Rugby launching a UK tour in April.

Mike Carr, CEO at Crowd Network, commented: “2024 has been a milestone year for us. From the brands that we have partnered with, to celebrating record financial performance, we’re ending the year on a high.

“Podcasting is an ever-evolving industry, and we work hard to ensure we’re at the forefront, whether through strategies to engage audiences or helping brands to better tell their stories. Looking ahead to next year, I’m looking forward to working with our existing podcasting talent and brand partners, as well as onboarding new ones, as we grow the roster of household names that we’re continually working with.”
