Winners unveiled for CrimeCon's third annual CLUE Awards

Winners of the 2024 CrimeCon CLUE Awards were announced tonight at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN during the third annual awards gala, which aired live on Law&Crime Network. Award-winning journalist and NewsNation anchor Ashleigh Banfield hosted the ceremony, celebrating excellence in true crime content, with Netflix, Hulu, NBC, Black and Missing, Hachette Books and CBC Podcasts among the trophy recipients.

CLUE’s 2024 “Crimefighter of the Year” recipient, John Walsh, accepted the special honor from last year’s recipient, The Gabby Petito Foundation. Walsh, the iconic host and creator of FOX’s America’s Most Wanted, is celebrating the 40-year anniversary of his non-profit organization, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Meanwhile, Law&Crime revealed the 2024 “America’s Greatest Detective” honoree: Laura Tierney, senior inspector with the U.S. Marshals Service in the missing child unit. Tierney is also the agency’s liaison to NCMEC, through which she helped lead and facilitate Operation “We Will Find You” to successfully locate 225 missing children.
