In Season 1, which has nearly 45 million downloads with a 5-star rating, Cawley used case files, journal entries, and recordings - all gleaned during a years-long investigation, to detail the case of missing Utah mother Susan Powell. Cawley examined Powell’s marriage to Josh Powell, revealed a pattern of domestic abuse and uncovered the shocking behavior of Josh and his father, Steven Powell.

COLD Season 1 was optioned in 2020 for TV series development by Nina Tassler and Denise Di Novi’s PatMa Productions. An announcement for the highly anticipated second season of COLD is expected one month from today on March 10th.
