Manchester-based podcast hosting and production company, Podcast.co, has appointed Caroline Harleaux as Head of Growth. Harleaux will spearhead the expansion of the production arm of the business focusing on business development, creative partnerships, content acquisition, and podcast ad sales.

Her hire supports Podcast.co’s ambition to scale its range of podcast production services for brands, artists, and thought leaders across the globe.

“Production services are where we’ve seen the most growth in 2021, and we’re excited to welcome Caroline to the team to lead the next phase of our expansion” said Mike Cunsolo, Chief Marketing Officer at Podcast.co. “Her credentials speak for themselves, but what impressed us further was her vision for what we can achieve and her dedication to accelerating our growth in a space with massive potential.”

Harleaux was most recently Business Development Manager at Xeim Labs, a market intelligence consultancy that works with Disney, Facebook, Salesforce, and IBM. At Xeim, she led outbound business strategy and was responsible for implementing new commercial strategies at two of the company’s magazines, Creative Review and Design Week.

Prior she was Head of Business Partnerships at the British Film Institute, and spent four years as Marketing Manager at The Skinny, a leading UK-based arts and entertainment magazine.

“More and more brands now recognise the potential of audio content. Podcast listeners regularly stay engaged for more than 30 minutes at a time. And this close, one-on-one time spent with a brand is part of what makes the medium so powerful.” said Harleaux. “The podcast industry is still in its relative infancy, but that presents huge growth potential for both content creators and advertisers. Podcast.co has the people, vision, and technology to drive that growth.”

Harleaux will be based in Podcast.co’s Manchester office.
