New York NY, USA—Campside Media, the new audio production studio from the creators behind chart-topping podcasts such as “The Clearing,” “Tabloid,” and “Over My Dead Body,” and Sony Music Entertainment today announced a new creative partnership to develop a slate of original podcasts.
The collaboration between the two companies will support the continued growth of Campside’s vision of high-quality, powerful storytelling, and work to develop a robust listening audience for Campside projects around the world.
Under the agreement, Campside, formed by accomplished long-form journalists Josh Dean, Vanessa Grigoriadis, Matt Shaer, and screenwriter/producer Adam Hoff in partnership with global content company SISTER founded by Elisabeth Murdoch, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone, will expand the overall number of series it produces and develop a range of new quality podcast concepts across multiple genres in collaboration with Sony Music.
The partnership kicks off with “Chameleon,” a multilayered investigative podcast series which tells the evolving story around the ongoing hunt for the Hollywood Con Queen, a notorious scam artist who for many years impersonated powerful female film producers to prey on aspiring members of the entertainment industry. Hosted by Josh Dean (host and co-creator of “The Clearing”) and co-created by Dean and Vanessa Grigoriadis, (host of “Tabloid”), “Chameleon” premieres on Thursday, October 1 and the trailer is available now.
As prominent developers of hit nonfiction audio content with decades of high-profile, cross-platform reporting experience, the Campside Media team will manage all creative aspects of the relationship, including podcast writing, production and recording. As a partner in podcasting, Sony Music will further advance its creator-first approach to collaborating with unique creative talent by providing its expertise in content creation, marketing and monetization to help enhance the scale and scope of Campside’s work.
Commenting on the new partnership, Dean and Grigoriadis said, “We are excited to have a partner in Sony Music who shares our vision for creating ambitious, sticky, narrative shows that can reach global audiences. Campside has an amazing slate of podcasts in development and we are thrilled to be launching Chameleon, the first series from our new company, as part of this relationship. We wanted to go big from the start and the story of the Hollywood Con Queen is the wildest scam we’ve ever encountered.”
Dennis Kooker, President, Global Digital Business and U.S. Sales, Sony Music Entertainment said “The Campside Media team are leaders at the intersection of longform journalism and narrative podcasting who have created some of the most fascinating and successful podcast series in recent years. We are pleased to be partnering with Josh, Vanessa, Matt and Adam to develop an all new slate of shows based on Campside’s incredible reporting and investigative work and we look forward to supporting the growth of their captivating storytelling with listening audiences everywhere.”
United Talent Agency (UTA) represented Campside Media in the agreement.
“Campside has found the perfect partner in Sony Music, who from the beginning, has understood and valued their mission,” said Oren Rosenbaum, Head of Emerging Platforms at UTA. “I have no doubt that this partnership will yield many incredible podcasts as they continue to build their unparalleled and original slate.”

We are the first company dedicated to empowering writers to truly own and shape the product of their hard work, from the narrative itself to the underlying IP to the way their shows are marketed and distributed.
