Buzzsprout Releases Updated How to Start a Podcast Guide
This article is at least a year old
Jacksonville FL, USA — Buzzsprout released its free, updated instructional guide, How to Start a Podcast, to help new podcasters successfully launch their shows.
Buzzsprout updates its How to Start a Podcast guide every year to include the most current information for beginner podcasters, and this year’s update was the largest yet, including a complete YouTube video series to accompany the written content.
The guide has been read over 750,000 times since its initial publication in 2015.
Buzzsprout’s chief aim is to make new and seasoned podcasters successful at every stage of the podcasting process. The How to Start a Podcast guide will help achieve this goal by providing free, high quality written and video content addressing the eight steps involved in launching a show: (1) Developing a podcast concept, (2) picking a podcast format, (3) purchasing equipment & software, (4) recording the first episode, (5) editing & uploading a podcast, (6) podcast artwork & categories, (7) getting listed in podcast directories, and (8) launching the podcast.
Buzzsprout’s head of marketing, Alban Brooke, said, “It’s easy for us to forget how intimidating podcasting can be for new podcasters — especially when they’re buying new equipment and learning new software. We wanted to build a YouTube course that didn’t make any assumptions and walked people through the entire process of starting a podcast.”
