Buzzsprout Announces Affiliate Marketplace

Jacksonville FL, USA—Buzzsprout launches its Affiliate Marketplace to connect podcasters with brands attempting to gain exposure on podcasts.

Launched in 2009, Buzzsprout has helped over 100,000 people start a podcast. The Affiliate Marketplace will make it easier for podcasters to start monetizing their podcasts in a meaningful way by using affiliate marketing.

At launch, the Affiliate Marketplace includes exclusive offers from Allswell, Buffy, Buzzsprout, Instacart, and Knockaround. Each of these brands met a strict set of criteria to be included in the Affiliate Marketplace: (1) they have high-quality products backed by a reputable company, (2) they offered an exclusive deal to Buzzsprout podcasters, (3) they pay all affiliate earnings in cash, and (4) they waived all “level of influence” requirements.

“Our goal is to help podcasters monetize their podcasts in a meaningful way,” said Kevin Finn, a co-founder of Buzzsprout. “The CPM model doesn’t respect the level of influence and trust that niche podcasts create with their audience. Most podcasters can make much more money by setting up affiliate relationships with brands they use and by providing honest recommendations to their audience. The Buzzsprout Affiliate Marketplace helps podcasters to connect with reputable brands, with vetted affiliate relationships, to begin monetizing their podcasts.”
