Beyond The Sport - on elite athletes' careers and life learnings

A new sports podcast has been launched exploring the life journeys of elite athletes, coaches and professional sports figures and what lessons they’ve learnt across their careers.

Beyond The Sport features sporting professionals from different disciplines and backgrounds, discussing the resilience and determination needed to overcome challenges and celebrate successes.

Hosted by comedian Jim Daly and sports broadcaster Kenzie Benali, the pair speak with guests on the highs and lows of being an elite sports professional, as well as what inspired them along their sporting journey.

Guests on the first series of Beyond The Sport include Olympic Men’s 4x100m relay gold medallists Darren Campbell and Jason Gardener, and Olympic bronze medal-winning gymnast Beth Tweddle.

Will Bayley, the number one ranked Paralympic table tennis player and Paralympic champion, and former footballer, coach and manager, Mike Phelan, also features in the series.
