Podcast Hosting Provider Audiorella Launches Data Platform for Publishers

Press Release · Munich, Germany ·

Audiorella (formerly Julep Hosting) is launching a new data tool for podcast publishers. What makes this service unique: Audiorella Data (www.audiorella-data.com) is the first and only solution in Germany that allows publishers to aggregate all key performance data of their podcasts in a single platform. Until now, these analytics metrics were scattered across various platforms—or missing altogether.

The first client to use the service is German public broadcaster ZDF. The numbers speak for themselves: total actual plays of the popular “Lanz & Precht” podcast are 65 percent higher than reported by IAB-certified hosting analytics.

Podcast publishers have long faced the challenge of having their data scattered across platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, and YouTube. Especially YouTube does not provide data back to podcast hosting services, leaving a significant blind spot in audience reporting. Likewise, if publishers upload video files to Spotify, those views are not passed back to the hoster—even under a passthrough agreement, which applies only to audio files.

Another challenge: Podcast hosting services typically lack any listener sociodemographic data, although platforms like Spotify and YouTube do have this information.

With Audiorella Data, publishers finally have a tool that gathers all relevant performance data from Spotify, YouTube, and other key platforms into one visualized dashboard. Sociodemographic data—such as age or gender distribution from Spotify and YouTube—can be aggregated into a single, clear view in just a few steps.

Christian Rymarenko, Founder and CEO of Audiorella: “With Audiorella Data, we’re offering podcast publishers a comprehensive tool that saves valuable time and lets them create full-funnel performance reports for advertising clients in no time. We’re also seeing that actual reach can significantly exceed what traditional hosting analytics report.”

Audiorella was founded in April 2024 as a spin-off from Julep Media by Christian Rymarenko, who previously served as COO and was responsible for building the hosting division. The original hosting team moved with him during the spin-off. While Audiorella continues the work in podcast hosting and monetization, Julep remains closely linked and relies on the former team’s expertise.
