New data shows record high listening for ARN's iHeartPodcast Network Australia

Sydney NSW, Australia—ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network, Australia’s #1 Podcast Publisher, has today released new listener data for June from leading podcast technology provider Megaphone. The data shows record high listening across Entertainment & Lifestyle, News, and Business & Finance categories.
The data follows today’s release of the Australian Podcast Ranker June results which shows ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network’s Stuff You Should Know is again the #1 most popular podcast in Australia and ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network’s Casefile has held on to the #2 spot overall. Casefile is again the #1 Australian podcast.
During June, based on an analysis of 800k+ devices, listening across Entertainment & Lifestyle podcasts was up 12% while News was up 15%. These categories have shown continuous growth since March and are both now at record highs.
Listening across Business & Finance has seen a huge increase of 30% in June, reflecting a growing interest in this content as people navigate new economic challenges and opportunities.
Podcast listening during the day, between 10am and 4pm, was also up in June with an increase of 32%.
Podcast listening has increased by 29% when comparing pre-COVID-19 data from January to mid-March to listening from mid-March to June, demonstrating strong growth and the surging popularity of the iHeartPodcast platform.
