Comedians Charles McBee and Mike Finoia have teamed with Acast for podcast Are We Old?

As hosts, McBee and Finoia comedically explore confront the experience of growing old by delving into the often-ignored truths of aging with a blend of nostalgia, vulnerability, and humor. The goal is to a provide a platform where listeners can laugh at the absurdities of growing older while also finding solace in the shared experiences that come with it. We believe that aging is inevitable, but taking ourselves too seriously isn’t.

Through candid conversations, hilarious anecdotes, and the occasional sage advice, “Are We Old?” aims to remind listeners that while aging may come with its challenges, it also brings a wealth of wisdom, laughter, and new perspectives. So, whether you’re dreading the inevitable march of time or embracing it with open arms, join us on “Are We Old?” for a laugh-out-loud journey through the trials and tribulations of getting older. “Charles and I started having these conversations at the clubs in between sets about real life experiences that made us question our youth, and they all ended with the same question: Are We Old?? We Can’t be the Only Ones! Everyone is aging, it’s one of the things that everyone has in common, so we’re excited to bring some levity and nostalgia to that realization, while laughing at the fact that we’re not as young as we used to be,” said Finoia.

McBee added, “Mike and I are beyond excited to kick off the “Are We Old Podcast” because, let’s face it, we’re all on this wild ride of life where things seem to be speeding up while we’re just trying to remember where we left our keys. Whether it’s figuring out the latest tech or reminiscing about a time when our knees didn’t creak, one thing’s for sure—we’re all in this getting older thing together, and we might as well have a laugh about it!”

Finoia is a comedian, writer, and podcast host from NYC. He has appeared on AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, and on several episodes of TruTV’s hit show Impractical Jokers. He also opens for the stars of the show on their National Arena & Theater tour. When not on tour with the Jokers, Finoia is working the premiere clubs both in Manhattan and out there on the open road. Finoia hosts two podcasts. The first, Comes a Time, he co-hosts with Dead & Company / Allman Bros. alum Oteil Burbridge. The pair interview everyone from John Mayer to Ricky Williams. The second, Dented Cans, showcases Mike catching up with fellow comics about their “Dents”.

McBee is a respected NYC stand-up comedian and writer from Toledo, Ohio. He has made three national stand-up comedy appearances on Gotham Comedy Live and was a favorite on two FOX television shows, Laughs and Punchline. McBee has written for several TV shows, including Uncommon Sense and Uncommon Sense Live with Charlamagne Tha God, VH1's Hip Hop Honors 2017, and was also a creative consultant on Nick Cannon’s Wild N Out. He’s most recently worked on the 2020 VMA’s as well as the 2021 Golden Globes, hosted the 2021 Music Lives Festival for the Live X Live Network, and was the Head Writer for Comedy Central’s Hell Of A Week, which was nominated for a Writers Guild Award. McBee has also gained a following on social media with his comedic commentary about growing up in the 80s and 90s.
