Ankler Media sets Elaine Low as host of flagship podcast for Oct 30 relaunch

Ankler Media, the leading independent media company covering the entertainment industry, today announced the relaunch of its flagship podcast, The Ankler podcast, as Ankler Agenda with Elaine Low. Low, author of the company’s popular “Series Business” newsletter, will be joined weekly by her Ankler colleagues Sean McNulty and Natalie Jarvey in addition to a variety of expert guests, as she breaks down the headlines, trends and creativity shaping the evolution of Hollywood, the creator economy and entertainment.

Jarvey’s “Like & Subscribe” newsletter will host monthly Substack Live video interviews, which will also be heard in “Ankler Agenda’s” feeds, as will frequent 1:1 Q&As hosted by Low with studio and network executives, TV and film creatives, and other business and entertainment authors and journalists.

Sean McNulty’s essential daily morning newsletter is expanding into audio as “The Wakeup P.M.”, rolling out new episodes later this fall. The lineup will include an on-demand version of “Monday Morning Quarterbacks,” McNulty’s popular Substack Live show with Richard Rushfield where they take on the major entertainment headlines of the day.

The launch of “Ankler Agenda with Elaine Low” follows the successful summer evolution of the “Prestige Junkie” podcast hosted by Katey Rich, Ankler Media’s weekly series focused on the TV and film awards races. This past July, the podcast launched a paid tier, Prestige Junkie After Party, offering listeners special membership exclusives bringing them further behind the scenes with Katey Rich and deputy editor Christopher Rosen as they give their uncensored thoughts during awards season and from film festivals.

Ankler Media’s podcast expansion is led by Shana Naomi Krochmal, ADWEEK Audio Awards’ 2024 podcast executive of the year, who was previously head of digital at Entertainment Weekly. “Ankler Agenda with Elaine Low” is produced by Carly Usdin, award-winning creative and director.
