CUMULUS MEDIA’s Westwood One, Imperative Entertainment’s Podcast Division and Pegalo Pictures today premiere the podcast American Coyote. The podcast tells the incredible true story of America’s most successful coyote, a legend named Elden Kidd. While active, Elden was responsible for ushering over a thousand people across the border — and was unfazed even after cheating death multiple times and spending two years incarcerated in a Mexican prison. The thrilling new 10-part series debuts on all platforms on December 1, 2020. Westwood One partners with Imperative Entertainment to distribute, market, and monetize all their existing and forthcoming podcasts.

Between 1987 and 2001, one American crossed over 1000 immigrants from Mexico into the United States, using various wild, harrowing, and sometimes comical schemes to outwit authorities on both sides of the border. American Coyote is the story of a legendary man and unlikely hero, Elden Kidd. He supported his family of six as a Coyoté and gave countless others a chance at a better life. From the team behind American Skyjacker: The Final Flight of Martin McNally, American Coyote is hosted by San Diego Union-Tribune reporter Andrea Lopez-Villafana, written, created, and produced by Joshua Shaffer and Eli Kooris of Pegalo Pictures, Executive Produced by Jason Hoch, President of Imperative Entertainment’s Podcast Division and scored by award-winning composer Jasha Klebe.

American Coyote marks the tenth series from Imperative Entertainment’s podcast division. Podcast series include The Red Note and La Nota Roja, TRUE, In the Red Clay, The Syndicate, American Skyjacker: The Final Flight of Martin McNally, The Baron of Botox, Boomtown, and Gangster House.
