San Antonio TX, USA—Something isn’t right in Hext, Texas. Strange and calamitous events abound in this oil boom town. What secrets lie buried beneath the surface? Dig deeper: The truth starts six feet under.

Actual play podcast All My Hexes is available on podcast apps everywhere. Conceived and directed by writer and professional game master Bernetta McFergus, the story follows four amateur paranormal investigators as they thwart the sinister conspiracies and unearthly horrors of a Texas oil boom town.

Using game designer Michael Sands’ rules-light system Monster of the Week, McFergus spins the narrative and guides the players through a fantastical world filled with Texan cryptids and legends. Player improvisation combined with in-game mechanics makes for fast-paced and engrossing episodes, which balance horror and adventure with humor and humanity.

“My goal with All My Hexes has been to tell a story highlighting a diverse mix of characters while exploring modern twists on myths and monsters that continue to captivate the human imagination,” says McFergus. “While the podcast has a decidedly Texas vibe, we hope the story and pacing will hook listeners from episode one.”

All My Hexes is recorded live every two weeks at Knight Watch Games, San Antonio’s premier gaming and hobby store, and recipient of the 2019 Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Store of the Year Award. “We are proud to be hosting All My Hexes,” added Brenda Mulgrew, Knight Watch Games co-owner and founder. “The production and talent are top notch and represent the best of what the San Antonio gaming community has to offer.”

You can find All My Hexes on iTunes, Spotify and other major podcatchers.
