Virtual Water Cooler for Audio Producers (July)
By Association of Independents in Radio (AIR)
Remember office water coolers? Back in the day, it was one of those places where you could have informal and impromptu conversations in person with coworkers. For freelancers and producers working with remote teams, there are few opportunities for face-to-face chats about stuff that’s not directly project-related…like, life in general.
Inspired by AIR member John Asante’s “virtual water cooler”, AIR is getting members together to connect about both the small stuff and big picture industry things.
At the virtual water cooler, we’ll first meet as a group at 3pm ET and briefly introduce ourselves. Then we’ll split off into virtual breakout rooms to meet colleagues you haven’t talked to in a while or maybe even meet someone new. The goal is to connect.
Remember, this is a safe space. Please respect people’s opinions. Come in ready to talk intentionally about what you’re looking to get out of the session.
Who is this event for?
This event is for everyone making audio (producers, reporters, editors, engineers, etc.) and anyone looking to make connections and get more insight into the freelance/independent audio world.
