By Podcast Workers Australia

10am - 11am (AEST) - Jacob Round Audio Post-Production Q&A With Live Demo
Jacob fields all your audio post-production quandaries live in DAW (Pro tools, Reaper/Audition) This is not just for audio producers but for anyone working with sound & wanting the best out of their pod.
Jacob Round is a composer, broadcaster, and award-winning audio producer, who’s spent most of his career as freelancer working primarily for Sydney based radio/pod networks (Nova, SCA, The Guardian, ABC, Mamamia, + various comedy pods).
11am - 12pm (AEST) - Rebecca Maakasa - Volunteers in community programs
Rebecca leads an open discussion talking through ways of engaging with, and training volunteers for community podcast programs. An integral part of the local podcasting ecosystem is volunteer led community media initiatives, but if we have the privilege of leading such programs how do we get and keep people involved? What knowledge is required to teach for volunteers to feel involved and fulfilled, and how do we go about teaching that knowledge?
Rebecca Maakasa is the Executive Producer and project lead of Stories of Community Resilience, an anthology podcast series that showcases real stories of how multicultural communities in Melbourne are support each other, and highlights community members achievements. The program has operated out of community radio stations and is soon to be based at 3MDR in Victoria.
