- Jan 23: Earsay is another podcast app that claims to skip ads automatically: but this does it on your iPhone, using Apple's AI model. "When an ad is detected, you can skip it, listen through it, or let earsay handle it automatically." The company highlights that when earsay detects an ad, it extracts sponsor information — brand names, promo codes, special offers, website links — and shows them as visual cards instead; it also does full transcripts of every show. The developer claims that podcast creators won't be harmed - it doesn't cache or interfere with podcast downloads, though it does remove links for OP3 and other trackers.

- Dec 1, 2025: OP3 is being used by Audioboom’s hit True Crime with Kendall Rae. On Nov 18, the podcast was responsible for more than a third of all OP3-monitored downloads at some points of the day. - Nov 19, 2025: Internet infrastructure company Cloudflare suffered a three-hour outage. Cloudflare delivers 15% of all podcast episodes, including those hosted by Buzzsprout, Transistor and Ausha; its failure also took out all shows monitored by analytics service OP3 for around 90 minutes, made much of Spotify and Apple Podcasts unusable, and even led to flight delays.
