- Jul 9: Apple Podcasts is still #1 for podcast downloads in the UK, however. Data from OP3, analysed by Podnews and shared today, shows that 37.5% of all downloads in the country go to Apple Podcasts; Spotify gets 31.7%, while Amazon Music is at 4.1%. But, there's a big caveat: data like this doesn't measure YouTube at all; and won't measure Spotify video, or BBC Sounds.
- Jun 10: 77% of podcast listening comes through just three apps, according to OP3 data analysed by Cohort. The work highlights a specific cluster of listening platforms - but Apple Podcasts, Spotify and CastBox as the big ones, according to the data.
