If you use micro
.blog to host your podcast, then you can enable free OP3 analytics with a new plugin. - Aug 28: The new Apple Podcasts web player does not appear, yet, to have made a difference to downloads. OP3 saw around 450 downloads from it on Aug 26; or 0.3% of all the downloads from the app.
- Aug 26: Independent podcast analytics tool OP3 has added a “Top African Regions” box for any podcasters with more than 3% traffic in the continent. Here’s an example show. It’s free to set up.
- Jul 10: Rephonic has added “listeners per episode” estimates to its podcast information service. (Anyone can claim their podcast by using OP3, and seeing all the data for your show). Here’s what our page looks like - we make aggregate ratings from Rephonic data in our podcast pages.
- Jul 9: The communication techniques podcast Think Fast, Talk Smart publishes its 150th episode today. Hosted by Stanford Business School lecturer Matt Abrahams, Think Fast Talk Smart aims to help listeners enhance their communication skills. Measured by OP3, it's approaching 50 million downloads.
