Since our founding in 2015, our mission has been to empower podcasters on their journey towards growth and monetization. Zencastr started as the first platform to offer high-quality remote audio recording and has evolved into an all-in-one podcast creation hub.
From the beginning, our free Hobbyist plan has played an important role in supporting those who are new or in the early stages of podcasting. Our dedication to providing free access to our platform over the years has allowed creators like you to enjoy an expanding range of services, now encompassing audio and video recording, hosting, and monetization, all at no cost.
However, as we wholeheartedly pursue our mission, it has become increasingly necessary to allocate our resources to deliver enhanced features that ensure your success as podcasters. In light of this, we have had to make the tough decision to discontinue access to recording features on the Hobbyist plan.
Effective November 16, 2023, recording capabilities will no longer be available on the Hobbyist plan, which will transition to a hosting-only plan. Please click here for details on how Hobbyist will change over the next 30 days.
We are committed to being here for our community, and to achieve this, we must ensure our long-term viability and sustainability. While recording features will no longer be available on the Hobbyist plan, please rest assured that all features, including recording, post-production, hosting, monetization, mobile recording, and AI clipping, continue to be accessible through our paid plans.
