LOST iN launches travel culture podcast and newsletter

A new travel brand, LOST iN, launched in June last year after raising $4mn in a seed round investment. The company - founded by Jukin Media co-founders and execs Jonathan Skogmo, Mike Skogmo and Anton Reut, started by acquiring the Berlin-based travel guidebook publisher of the same name.
In July, the company acquired Bring Me! from BuzzFeed, which included about 8,000 video assets and more than 6 million followers. In September, it acquired a number of social media accounts - a Facebook group called View from my window, and two Instagram accounts, Travelgram and Landscapes, which have a combined audience of more than 5 million.
The company, which continues to pursue acquisitions, has just launched what Podnews is told is the next evolution of the brand - The Layover, a new podcast and newsletter designed for the travel industry’s most curious and connected minds.
The show is hosted by Dylan Conroy, a longtime creator economy advocate and travel executive, and is a weekly podcast that goes beyond the headlines to deliver strategic insight for travel’s most influential voices. Through candid interviews with top executives, innovators, and travel influencers, each episode unpacks the industry’s biggest challenges, shifts, and ideas shaping the future of how we move through the world.
The show quietly posted a pilot episode in May, looking at the winter travel industry.
Paired with the podcast launch is its new LOST iN newsletter, a modern reimagining of the company’s cult-favorite city guidebooks. Sent weekly, the newsletter offers curated travel trends, culture dispatches, and lifestyle insights from global creatives—designed to inform, inspire, and transport.
“Our ultimate goal is to be the go-to source for authentic, inspiring travel content across platforms and to continue building a vibrant and like-minded community of travelers,” co-founder Jonathan Skogmo told Net Influencer last year.
