Buretz brings nearly 20 years of technology leadership, more than ten of which have been at Libsyn. Prior to his current position, he served as Vice President of Software Development, where he was the primary architect for the launch of Libsyn 5; oversaw the introduction of AdvertiseCast’s programmatic capabilities via its Auto Ads solution; and has led the technical integration of key partner offerings. Before that, Buretz held various software and web application developer roles, where he architected Libsyn 4 and re-engineered Libsyn’s analytics processing system to include Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) certified statistics. He joined Libsyn in April 2012.

Buretz began his career at the California University of Pennsylvania as a web developer and social media strategist. He holds a Doctorate of Science (D.Sc.) in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University.

In the last 18 months, Libsyn has expanded its executive team, including naming Jonathan Charak as Chief Financial Officer and John W. Gibbons as President & Chief Product Officer, as well as made Board additions, including Patrick Dolan, former President of the IAB, and Doug Woodrum, former CFO of CNET Networks, Inc.

These appointments underscore the Company’s commitment to building its global operations, making strategic acquisitions, and strengthening its platform strategy by investing in industry-leading hosting and monetization offerings to heighten the podcast experience.
