On Sunday, May 22, we were notified of an issue in Spotify's advertising system that caused Wild Turkey ads to be pushed incorrectly to multiple podcasts on the platform, including those where an ad for an alcohol brand would be inappropriate. Spotify has taken responsibility for the incident, removed the incorrect ad placements, and is investigating the root cause. Wild Turkey and our parent, Campari Group, adhere to strict advertising guidelines for our products and this campaign was designed within those guidelines. We are disappointed that the implementation of the campaign by Spotify was inconsistent with our advertising code and have paused all media with Spotify pending results of the investigation.
