National Portrait Gallery
A podcast from: Acoustiguide
The National portrait Gallery has on display over 1000 portraits featuring men and women who have shaped British history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The Gallery audio tour has commentaries on over 300 portraits and also features a number of short tours to help you find your way around this exciting collection. These tours offer a way of finding your route through the Gallery, taking in some of the best-loved paintings in the Collection and featuring some of the works that depict sitters who were celebrated in their own era, and some who are more famous to modern audiences than they were in their lifetimes. This podcast introduces five of the themed tours which are available in full at the National Portrait Gallery.
