Black to Nature
A arts podcast from Stefanie Dunning
Welcome to Black to Nature, a podcast about the environment and identity and the many ways we engage ourselves and the natural world. I’m Professor Stefanie Dunning and I’ll be your host. Each episode, I’ll read an excerpt from my book, “Black to Nature: Pastoral Return and African American Culture” and bring a guest on the show to talk about the role that nature plays in helping us know and deepen into who we are. On this show, we’ll be talking about rural life, histories of environmentalism in the black community, and even spirituality--because the natural world is our first temple.
Join me, for insightful, funny, and generative discussions about the intersection of being and nature.
This podcast may use dynamic content insertion
Stats: Statistics are produced by Simplecast to help Black to Nature to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and useragent is used to help calculate this figure. Simplecast is IAB v2 certified.
Dynamic content insertion: Simplecast may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Black to Nature may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.
Black to Nature is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.
