The Coronavirus Visualization Podcast (CVP) originates from the Coronavirus Visualization Team (CVT). Accompanying the overall pandemic of COVID-19 is the informational overload of data and facts, dubbed as the “infodemic.” The infodemic reigns because when there is an influx of crises in short sprints of time, information is published by the masses, coming from every nook and cranny of the internet. We are the data-driven combatant to this problem, and we’re centralizing information about COVID-19 into one comprehensible network of data visualizations.

Stats: Statistics are produced by Spotify for Podcasters to help Coronavirus Visualization Podcast to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and user agent is used to help calculate this figure. Spotify for Podcasters is IAB v2 certified. Here is more detail about podcast statistics.
Dynamic content insertion: Spotify for Podcasters may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Coronavirus Visualization Podcast may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.
Coronavirus Visualization Podcast is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.
