Herbst 1929 - Schatten über Babylon
Der Berliner Autor und Regisseur Volker Heise erzählt in einer neuen Podcastserie zum Start der dritten Staffel von „Babylon Berlin“ über sechs Episoden hintergründig und spannend von den letzten goldenen Tagen der 20 Jahre: Die Zeit, bevor der Winter einbricht.
Im Herbst 1929 begegnen und beeinflussen sich zwei Lebensläufe, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein können: die Lebensläufe von Alfred Hugenberg, Verleger und völkischer Politiker, und von Marlene Dietrich, Schauspielerin und kommender Weltstar. Der eine Lebenslauf führt in das Dritte Reich, der andere führt nach Hollywood. Im Herbst 1929 verweben sie sich eng ineinander, während die Republik von politischen Verwerfungen geschüttelt wird. Die Gesellschaft ist polarisiert, eine Wirtschaftskrise droht.
