5. Sienceslam in Erlangen (HD 1280)
Was ist ein Science Slam?
Angelehnt an das Format der Poetry Slams bietet ein Science Slam Nachwuchswissen-schaftlern/innen die Gelegenheit, ihre eigene Forschung auf der Bühne einem breiten Publikum ohne Fachkenntnisse zu präsentieren. Das Ziel des Slams ist es, das Thema leicht verständlich und unterhaltsam zu präsentieren.
Dazu können alle Register gezogen werden, mit oder ohne Powerpoint-Präsentation, mit Requisten oder der Vorführung von Experimenten. Die einzige Beschränkung liegt darin, dass die Slammerinnen und Slammer dafür nur 10 Minuten Zeit zur Verfügung haben. Am Ende entscheidet das Publikum, welcher Vortrag am lehrreichsten und unterhaltsamsten war und kürt den Gewinner oder die Gewinnerin des Abends.
Der Science Slam in Erlangen und Nürnberg
Nach zwei einzelnen Science Slams der Graduiertenschule der FAU und des Museums für Kommunikation in Nürnberg vor einigen Jahren findet nun eine regelmäßige Science Slam Reihe in Erlangen und Nürnberg statt. Diese ist an einen Science Slam Workshop an der FAU gekoppelt, der Studierende und Promovierende zum Slammen coacht. Moderator des Science Slams und Dozent des Workshops ist Philipp Schrögel, der auch den Science Slam in Karlsruhe organisiert.
