Creative Audio Producer, T Brand Studio
New York Times, 620 8th Avenue, New York, NY, United States
In 2014, T Brand Studio redefined the advertising landscape by establishing The New York Times’ in-house creative studio, dedicated to bringing world-class storytelling to Times advertisers.
Today, T Brand is the publishing industry’s premier creative agency, producing Timesian quality stories for hundreds of brand partners. In the process, we’ve pushed into new technical frontiers, from immersive web media to VR to AR and beyond.
Our next frontier is digital audio. Piggybacking on the phenomenal success of The Daily — the most successful daily podcast ever launched — T Brand Studio is building an audio team to oversee and create branded media as rich as all our other great work. This role has the potential to help build a new franchise in the publishing industry’s most successful branded content agency.
The T Brand Audio team will operate like a startup within the larger advertising organization. Our founding creative audio producer should be self-starter with a passion for the emerging world of audio. They are able and excited to wear multiple hats, willing to work on and fix the smallest technical matter while also able to think big to help architect and execute ambitious standalone audio programs. Our audio team is tiny, but mighty, and this person will be both a creator and evangelist, able to spread enthusiasm for audio and the new ways it can weave into and enhance other forms of digital media content we produce.
New York based, full-time contract/freelance.
This audio producer will oversee the Studio’s audio projects, ranging from 30 second spots for Times’ portfolio of podcasts to more ambitious, serialized branded audio programs.
