- Apr 30: New from Audacy's Pineapple Street Studios and Wondery, The Competition is now available everywhere. The series focuses on the contestants of the Distinguished Young Women (DYW) program, a quasi-pageant/ academic competition that’s one of the most lucrative scholarship programs for teen girls in America, and follows seven participants as they experience the highs and lows of competing for two weeks, away from home and under the most high-stress circumstances. - Feb 2: Dehumanizing, cruel, and wrong - The Pineapple Street Union has responded to the announcement of layoffs at Audacy-owned Pineapple Street Studios.
- Jan 8: Audacy, owners of Cadence13 and Pineapple Street Studios, has filed for bankruptcy. The company plans a restructure and claims it will have “no operational impact”. Formerly known as Entercom, it acquired CBS Radio in 2017. It currently has debts of $1.9bn.
- Nov 17, 2023: The Official Rustin Podcast has launched today from Netflix, accompanying the new Netflix film. The architect of 1963’s momentous March on Washington, Bayard Rustin was one of the greatest activists and organizers the world has ever known; but has slipped from the public's mind. The film, and this podcast, aims to change that. It's produced by Pineapple Street Studios and Slayzhon.
- Nov 9, 2023: Unruly is new today, hosted by hosted by author, curator, and critic Kimberly Drew. "We unpack the quiet ways women’s bodies are commodified, defined, and regulated by social media, the medical profession, the beauty industry, and more. Then we name them, out loud." It's from body hair and care brand Flamingo and Pineapple Street Studios.
